2. Once you have located the Command Prompt, right click on it and select Run as administrator
3. If a window like below popped up, click on Yes
4. In the Command Prompt type in netsh wlan show profile and press Enter. This will show a list of access point you have previously connected in the past. For this example I will be looking for the WiFi password to my network called dd-wrt like the one you see below.
5. One you located the SSID of the network you want to reveal the password, type in netsh wlan show profile <the name of your WiFi network> key=clear and press Enter. Now you should be able to see the WiFi password under Security settings on the right of Key Content like I have it below.
NOTE: This only works on the WiFi network that you have previously connected in the past. This is NOT a way to crack or hack the WiFi password. This is good if you accidently disconnect your laptop from a network that you once have access to and forgot the password. This will work if you want to recover the password.
